PLEASE READ, IMPORTANT INFO…

Our AGM will be held next Wednesday 16th dec, 7:30 at the Balnarring cricket/football/ netball club rooms.
We require a representative from every team, for a couple of reasons.
1: The club doesn’t exist without volunteers on our committee. We really need people to join us to ensure our club stays strong, making kids happy and healthy through basketball. A couple of us have older kids, leaving the club, so we really need parents from our u8’s and u10’s to take up roles, and keep steering our club into the future.
2: We need to ensure a quorum, otherwise we have to hold the meeting again!
If you are interested in joining our committee, you need to nominate via email to balnarringstormbc@gmail.com
Roles available are:
President-
to ensure running of committee is to code, and committee members fulfil their roles.
Vice President:
to step in for president, to help committee fulfil their roles
Treasurer:
To many the monetary operations of the club, and prepare account reports for meetings
Secretary:
To manage mail and email, and forward enquiries onto the correct person
Uniform Coord:
To manage the sale and ordering of uniforms, and deal with supplier
Registration Coord:
To manage registrations of players during intakes of seasons. To organise placement of kids into teams
Aussie Hoops Coord:
To manage our Aussie hoops program. To book venue, book coach, and manage bookings through basketball Victoria portal. To liaise with schools, and promote programs.
General committee:
To help out with various activities, eg making Facebook posts, helping out with family fun day, etc …
The start of the seasons can be a bit busy, but it’s quite manageable, and we normally meet once a month for a couple of hours.
Now, the AGM itself will only go for about 30 minutes, it’s basically a formality of reading a few reports, holding an election for committee members, and setting fees and date for next AGM. That’s it!
If you could please email who will be representing your team.
Also if you want to vote for someone, and can’t be there, can you please nominate a proxy for your vote (via email) and it can be anyone attending the meeting, eg your team rep or myself (Ryan)
So that’s it, just 3 things to do…
1: nominate for a position on the committee
2: nominate who is going to represent your team at the meeting.
3: nominate a proxy if you want to vote but can’t be there.

Anyone can nominate for any position, if there is more than one nomination for a position, then an election will be held. If anyone wishes to vote for a nominee, then please do so, either at the meeting or by proxy.
